The Children's Theatre Studio

The Culture and Education Centre Master Klass invites 4 to 15-year-old children to visit the Theatre Studio “Sofit”!

To come to our Theatre Studio means to change the world and discover hidden talents of your children.

Participants of the studio will be able to:

• Learn the basics of acting
• Learn to feel their own body and voice as certain “tools”, and master the true stage calisthenics and public speaking
• Overcome fear of public speaking
• Develop and improve their imagination
• Work with samples of classical and modern drama
• Learn how to transform, live and as a result – to acquire the ability to clearly define falsity not only on stage but also in everyday life.

We believe that all children are talented. So we provide favourable conditions and a friendly and professional atmosphere, due to which everyone will have the opportunity to express themselves properly without fear or shyness.

The curriculum of our Theatre Studio is based on the global theatre experience, embodied in the works of famous theatre actors.

Our students will be able to apply and demonstrate their knowledge and skills not only during open classes and performances, but also throughout life. Due to the development of attention, sensitivity to the situation and the ability to transform into the right direction, children get the opportunity to create miracles not only on stage, but also in everyday life. It helps you avoid failures, solve problems of any complexity, and find creative and effective solutions to different life situations.

Due to the curriculum of our drama school, children become more alert and confident, start to listen to the interlocutor better, think creatively, and communicate effectively with other team members.

Classes will be held in the afternoon and evening 2 times a week (1 weekday and 1 weekend day).

Duration: 1 hour for the younger group and 2 hours for the older one (2 and 4 hours per week, respectively).

Teacher of Our Theatre Studio: Tamara Trunova

Education:

• 1999 – Choreographic Studio (Nova Kakhovka)
• 2005 – Kyiv National Linguistic University (Specialist, Faculty of Translation)
• 2008 – Kyiv National University of Theatre, Film and Television named after Karpenko-Kary (Specialist, Drama Theatre Directing)

Tamara Trunova embodied staging of several performances on the Kyiv theatres stages, among which are:

• “An Evening with Pretty and Lonely” (2008)
• “Bachelors and Bachelorette” (2010)
• “Tom Sawyer (in 2009 this performance was nominated for the award “Kyiv Pectoral” as the best show for children)
• “The Passenger in a Suitcase” (2011)

For three years she has been a teacher of acting at the Verikovsky Children School of Art № 2.

She is currently working on a new performance at the Kyiv State Academic Theatre of Drama and Comedy on the left bank of the Dnipro River, being also a teacher of acting and directing at the Kyiv National University of Theatre, Film and Television named after Karpenko-Kary.
