New Era Orchestra

The chamber orchestra “New Era Orchestra” opened its first concert season in 2007, having gathered young talented Ukrainian musicians. The art director and principal conductor Tatyana Kalinichenko is a charismatic leader of the orchestra, a musician with an outstanding fresh view on the interpretation of compositions of various epochs and tendencies. The orchestra always looks for unique scores of Ukrainian and foreign composers of the past and present, the scores that haven’t been heard in Ukraine before, trying to motivate young talented Ukrainian musicians to work and reveal their talents in Ukraine. The orchestra’s concert programmes are organised according to the tendencies of European academic music, thus forming an exclusive repertoire.

The orchestra is known to the visitors of the Culture and Education centre “Master Klass” for “Christmas melodies” that were heard on the stage of “Master Klass” on December 16, 2009, and aroused a great interest among the audience.

“New Era Orchestra” is one of few chamber orchestras working without state support.
