The International Film Festival “Molodist”

The International Film Festival “Molodist” belongs to the 12 best film festivals in the world according to rating of the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF). Every autumn Kyiv is visited by world film stars – outstanding film directors and actors, and Kyiv cinemas show nearly 300 films within the framework of the festival!

The contest programme of “Molodist” includes student films, debut professional short-length and full-length films. Such famous film directors as Fred Kelemen, Tom Tykwer, Francois Ozon, Andrash Monory, Denis Yevstigneyev and Steven Daldry made their first steps in the big cinema hand in hand with “Molodist”. The festival participants were later awarded with the Golden Palm (Bruno Dumont) and Oscar (Alain Berliner).

The co-operation between “Molodist” and “Master Klass” began in 2009 and resumed in 2010 – in the year of the 40th jubilee of the festival.
