“Father and son”: Days linked to the creative work of the film director Andriy and poet Arseniy Tarkovskis. The event programme for 14th-17th April:

“Master Klass”, the Cultural and Educational Centre, will hold Creativity Days of Arseniy and Andriy Tarkovskis on 14th-17th April

Our guests will be Maryna Tarkovskaya, a daughter of Arseniy Tarkovskiy and sister of Andriy, her husband and a university mate of Andriy Tarkovskiy the film director Oleksandr Gordon, and the second film director of “Sacrifice”, Leila Aleksander (United Kingdom).


The event programme of “Tarkovskis Days”
(All events will take place at the Film and Concert Hall of “Master Klass”)

14th April
6.00 p.m. – the opening of “Creativity Days of the Tarkovskis”. A literary evening of Arseniy Tarkovskiy. Among the guests will be Maryna Tarkovskaya and Oleksandr Gordon, stage director Oleksandr Kryzhanovskiy and many others. The poems will be read by actors of Kyiv theatres.
8.00 p.m. - Documentary about Arseniy Tarkovsky – “Malyutka Zhisn”, directed by V. Amirkhanyan (Russia 2004).

7.30 p.m. – A concert “Each Sound Echoes on the Earth…”. Chamber orchestra “New Era Orchestra”, conductor Tetyana Kalinichenko. Admission is 50 hryvnias. There are discounts for students and pensioners.

16 April
5.00 p.m. – Creativity evening dedicated to Andriy Tarkovskiy. Maryna Tarkovskaya, Oleksandr Gordon, Leila Aleksander, film director Roman Balayan, critic Serhiy Trymbach and others will take part in the event.
7.00 p.m. – The Small Hall. A retrospective show of Andriy Tarkovskiy’s films – “Sacrifice” (1986).
