British Music Concerts
.jpg)
If each country, like a person, had its own character, the tendency for music would definitely be a feature of the British. The concert series of British Classical Music is a real discovery for the music world, as ancient and modern music, played at Master Klass, has never been performed in Ukraine or the other CIS countries.
The guide and ideologist of the concerts, Frank McGovern, together with conductor Paul Henry, who works with little-known musical scores, have a mission to popularize British music in Ukraine, and bring to this unique project a sincere enthusiasm and love. In the Autumn of 2009 Paul Henry founded the chamber orchestra “Collegium Kyiv”, which since then has specialized in performing British classical music.
The first concert in the series “Three Hundred Years of British Music” took place in October 2009 and was devoted to the 350th anniversary of “British Orpheus”, Henry Purcell.
