Classics on Fridays

In 2011 a series of chamber music concerts “Classics on Fridays” started at "Master Class" . They take place every two weeks.

At these soirees you can enjoy the tunes of different epochs and trends: classical music, avant-garde, baroque music, etc. You will hear the works of both Ukrainian and foreign composers: acknowledged masterpieces of musical art, and rare but still valuable compositions striking with the original idea.

Tetyana Kalinichenko is a project manager, artistic director and conductor of the chamber «New Era Orchestra». Her special maestro approach to the chamber music promotion, and progressive thinking will be reflected in the approach to the project.

"Classics on Fridays" does not confine itself to traditional framework of chamber concerts. There is certainly a room for experiment, synthesis and dialogue between performers and listeners, and an original approach to the musical material presentation.

The project participants are not just the laureates of prestigious contests, but also young, talented and active musicians. They make piano trios, string quartets, quintets, ensembles and other kinds of the chamber staff.

"Master Klass" and Tetyana Kalinichenko personally hope that "Classics on Fridays" will create an atmosphere for communication for classical music fans. The musicians will meet with the audience, present their original projects. And guests will gladly get acquainted with quality music and make sure that classic will always be of topical interest. We are also positive that connoisseurs of chamber music will eventually be looking forward to Fridays, like jazz fans - to the soirees with Oleksiy Kohan, held every Wednesday at "Master Klass".

The partner of “Classics on Fridays” soiree is the creative project “Art Collection "Babylon", the founder of the “New Era Orchestra”.

You will plunge into the unique atmosphere of the soirees, created by the "Master Klass"  Art Gallery exposition and hospitality of the cafe "Vernissage Master Klass," which is situated at the chamber stage. There you can taste exquisite tea or coffee with real French croissants, and simply relax at the end of the week.

Entrance: 40 hryvnias. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance before the concert.
The concerts last for about an 1.5 hours.
