The Room of Desires from “Stalker”, a film by Tarkovskiy, comes to life at “Master Klass”

“This place is weird…everything changes here, the most direct way is not the shortest… but everything that is going to happen depends not on the room but you… The place demands your respect; otherwise it will punish you… Having gone down, keep quiet until you go back up. If you are ready, follow me…”
Within the framework of the Creativity Days of Tarkovskis, “Master Klass” held an unusual project “Room of Wishes”, based on “Stalker”, a film by Andriy Tarkovskiy. Everyone could feel the atmosphere of this mysterious place while taking a 20-minute journey through our “Room”.
The man behind the idea was Oleksandr Krylov. The creators of the project: the Cultural and Educational Centre “Master Klass”, Theatre on Pechersk – artistic director Oleksandr Kryzhanovskiy, and also “WORKSHOP of Olha Kondratskaya. Architecture and Design”.
Having followed the silent Stalker through the gloomy labyrinths, the guests reached a small film hall, where key fragments from the film “Stalker” were being shown. After that the curtain that had separated the Room of Desires fell down and all the visitors were left alone with their own thoughts and desires.
A typescript, by Andriy Tarkovskiy himself, became the focal point of the Room.
