Coming soon: the first sightseeing tour by open-topped double-deckers in Kyiv

On Thursday 15th July at 10.30 a.m. at Zolotovoritskiy Square near the Yaroslav Mudriy’s Memorial there will be the start of the first tourist route by open-topped double-deckers in Kyiv.

Popular in world capitals from Washington to Sydney, regular sightseeing tours by open-topped double-deckers are available now to the inhabitants and visitors to Kyiv, especially interesting before EURO 2012.

The Open Kiev Company and the Culture and Education Centre “Master Klass” are starting a completely new form of sightseeing tours. The main parts of the new conception are: the open-topped double-deckers make trips through the most impressive places of the capital; the whole-day ticket allows you to get out of the bus at route stops and continue the tour by the next bus of

Open Kiev; the tours are held in Russian and English; a city map and cold drinks are provided free of charge; the opportunity for disabled people to take part in the tour.

The programme includes:

• The opening of this unique sightseeing route “Open Kiev” with the ceremony of the cutting of a ribbon and the unveiling of the bus;
• Media handling; all questions will be answered by the director of the Open Kiev Company Natalya Utkina, and Yevgeniya Stepanova, the director of the Culture and Education Centre “Master Klass” Serhiy Kalashnyk;
• Drinks reception and free tour by the open-topped double-decker for journalists.
