“New Era Orchestra” astonishes the audience at “Master Klass” on 1st April

On 1st April the Cultural and Educational Centre “Master Klass” and chamber orchestra “New Era Orchestra”, under the guidance of conductor Tetyana Kalinichenko presented their own vision of April Fool’s Day.

The concert contained extraordinary, cheerful, emotional music from the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains to Ireland and Argentina, popular music from Soviet (“Prisoner of the Caucasus”, “Ivan Vasilyevich Changes His Occupation”, “The Diamond Arm”), and foreign (“Jeeves and Wooster”, “Toy”, “Ameli”, “Taxi”) comedy films, and many other musical surprises. These familiar melodies, performed in an unusual way received a great ovation.

The spectators witnessed that the maestros of classical music (Joakinno Rossini) did not pass up an opportunity to mock. And modern composers could find original approaches both to academic music (Vladimir Zubitsliy), and jazz (Duke Ellington, Cheak Korea), and to the hits of “The Beatles” (Peter Breiner), even using a printing machine from time to time (Le Roy Anderson).

Popular jazzman Oleksiy Kogan set the tone of the concert: his rich jokes added intrigue to the concert and created an atmosphere of musical joy.

The spectators applauded the orchestra and asked for an encore from the musicians who, impressed by such a warm welcome, once more surprised the audience with their irrepressible energy.
