14 February 2011
A concert of classical music to St. Valentine's Day was held at the "Master Klass" Culture and Education Centre on Saturday, February 12. The State Chamber Ensemble "Kyiv Soloists" presented a programme "Symphony of Love", which included pieces from classical works by Grieg, Tchaikovsky, Dvořak, Elgar, Nino Rota and other composers. All compositions were permeated with the eternal theme - Love in its various bright manifestations.
The festive evening started a series of concerts called “Life and Music” that will be performed by the leading Ukrainian soloists and ensembles at “Master Klass”.
The fantastic atmosphere was created due to the vocal concert by Stanislav Badrak, who performed a piece from the musical "Notre Dame de Paris" (R. Cocciante), and singer Solomia, who presented her own songs "I Realise" and "Sleepless Night".
S. Badrak is a vocalist, pianist, composer and conductor, performing at many famous halls all over the world and giving academic and jazz music concerts.
Solomia is a stage name of Olena Karpenko, a singer and songwriter, an awardee of international song contests.
