GOGOLFEST-2010 to take place at the Film Studio named after Dovzhenko

The Modern Art Festival GOGOLFEST-2010 (“Master Klass” is one of the organizers) has been saved! The event, though in a slightly different format, will take place between 4-12th September at the Film Studio named after Dovzhenko, whose direction agreed to become our partner. The theatrical programme (Ukrainian theatrical showcase in particular), musical, visual, literary and film programmes and also master classes by invited men of art will be presented at the suggested GOGOLFEST locations.

GOGOLFEST 2010 will be opened by the modern performance “Multiverse” by the Spanish theatre La Fura dels Baus (Barcelona, Spain), and the theatre “Dakh”. The grand performance will take place on 4th September on Independence Square (Kyiv). Nearly 100 participants will be involved in the performance. GOGOLFEST has announced the enrolment of volunteers who will take part in the performance. The live broadcast is planned to be broadcast by one of the Ukrainian television channels.

The “Multiverse” performance (its name can be translated as “a multiple universe”) is to demonstrate the unity and variety of multiple worlds. Among the branded elements of La Fura dels Baus there will be “human net” (a net made of human figures), a wheel symbolizing the universe movement and a 10-metre-high manikin. The show will be accompanied by fireworks. The music to the performance was composed by the group “Dakha Brakha” together with the composer of La Fura dels Baus.
